Floating park development

This project aims at solving a problem that is common in many growing cities close to the sea; the park- and public areas in the city centres are shrinking due to rising property costs.
This project has been generated by the Port Authorities in Oslo, and the main aim is to create a new very large public park close to the centre of the city, and with the most spectacular position possible. We have proposed a floating park, made up of different standardized modules, and based upon well known technology from the north sea oil business. The park would become the largest public park in Oslo since “Frogner parken” with the sculptures of Gustav Vigeland was built in the thirties.
