TRANSFORM

The New Timber City at Siriskjær, Norwegian Wood

The projects proposes to gently fold the coastline of the site and organize the program in 6 sticks, placed perpendicular to the sea. All 136 apartments achieve a strong visual and physical relation to the water, and between the houses calm and inviting spaces are created for the residents and visitors.
Furthermore is the buildings are constructed by means of prefabricated timber and based on a principle of compactness in order to ensure sustainability and minimize energy consumption.
